Acetone is used to thin nitropaint and nitrocellulose lacquer, and to clean tools. Directions for use: Acetone is added into paint in small quantities when stirring up to proper viscosity. Danger. Causes serious eye irritation. Highly flammable liquid and vapour. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Keep container tightly closed. Take action to prevent static discharges. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Dispose of the contents/containers in accordance with the current legislation on waste treatment. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
