Antipyrine Arlitas B418 Fire retardant coating for wood and timber constructions Arlitas B418 is antipyretic solution designated to protect wood and timber constructions from fire. In case of fire, elastic 5-10 mm thick foam, which reduces temperature of timber and contains spread of flame, is formed on the surface of timber on which Arlitas B418 was applied. Arlitas B418 is used for treatment of public-use constructional timber: rafters, battens, wall plates, pillars, roofing, arbours, and wood finishing. The preparation must not be used for treatment of food, beverage and fodder packing, wooden ship hulls, water structures and aquaculture installations. Method of use Arlitas B418 type fire retardant coating should be applied on surfaces of wood and timber constructions which have been prepared in a suitable manner only. Suitability of preparation of wood and timber constructions should be defined by the manufacturer of the fire retardant coating. Thickness of wood and timber constructions must be at least 23 mm. Yield\/amount of applied solution shall not be less than 333 ml\/m2<\/sup>. Wood should be treated with the fire retardant coating on all sides. Wood and timber constructions should be treated with a brush, roller or by spraying 2 times (intervals between applications should be 10 min.) or by dipping into solution.
